Question by cleonitro: What is this old movie? but cant remember much think may be kids adventure of some kind.?
I have had this movie in my mind for many years now but can not remember much, I have searched online by movie year but have not found it, i think it might be between the years of 1973-1985, i know that’s a big margin but i was about 5-6yrs old and i am 32 now

anyway I can only remember 2 very vague parts near the end of the movie, 1 kid i think and a 1 or 2 of the fantasy characters are running trying to get out of some structure that’s about fall apart after doing whatever quest they had done, a pillar fell and crushed one of the fantasy characters, the boy wanted to help but couldn’t. the next part i remember is the end where threes a scene that shows a rock in the microwave, something happens after that, the building catches fire or blows up or something then a scene of the boy outside where fire trucks are and i think he finds the rock.

that’s it I really cant remember anything else – its very vague but i remember the feeling of watching the movie that’s how it stuck in my mind all these years. it may be the type of movie similar to The Labyrinth where the kid goes on some fantasy adventure and appears back at home after wards.

not a kid’s movie. it’s called Time Bandits. the other “fantasy characters” are the group of midgets and dwarves he’s with. near the end, they are in Evil’s castle, that has pillars in a vast cavern that they have to traverse, like a maze, and in his sanctum when everything starts coming down from the big battle, you may remember that part.

he wakes up to smoke in the house. it’s coming from a chunk of Evil that’s in the microwave. it’s been awhile so i don’t remember if they find the microwave before or after the firefighters come. i don’t want to spoil it because i recommend you see the movie again. it’s a bit dated, and quite silly, but fun
